COLUMBUS, Ohio – Jacob Pasteur was named the offensive player of the week by the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Tuesday after he led Ohio State (13-13, 7-7 MIVA) to a pair of MIVA wins last week. Ohio State knocked off Purdue Fort Wayne (3-2) and No. 11 Loyola (3-0) to close out the regular season last week. Both matches were on the road.
Pasteur hit .426 for the week with 34 kills on 61 swings and just eight errors.
He also added three aces and three blocks in the two matches and led the Buckeyes with 40.0 points. The honor was the second of the season and third of his career.
The Buckeyes return to the court at 7 p.m. Saturday at Lewis in the opening round of the MIVA Tournament. The Buckeyes are the No. 5 seed. Lewis is seeded fourth.
