Ohio State’s Seeds Announced for 2023 NCAA Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State’s nine NCAA wrestling qualifiers learned their seeds and first-round opponents Wednesday in advance of the 2023 NCAA Wrestling Championships March 16-18 at Bok Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Buckeyes qualified wrestlers in 7-of-10 weight classes last weekend at the 2023 Big Ten Wrestling Championships at at the Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Click HERE for the recap.
Ohio State added two more to its NCAA lineup this year when redshirt freshman Paddy Gallagher (157) and returning All-American Gavin Hoffman (197) earned at-large bids.
The Buckeyes will send four Top 10 seeds to Oklahoma with 2023 Big Ten Champion Sammy Sasso leading the way with a No. 2 seed at 149. Redshirt seniors Ethan Smith (174) and Kaleb Romero (184) are both No. 6 seeds in their respective weight classes while redshirt junior Carson Kharchla earned a No. 10 seed at 165.
