COLUMBUS, OH–The Ohio State Pistol team headed south to College Station, Texas this past weekend for a match against Texas A&M. The Buckeyes won with an Open score of 6,590 while the Aggies tallied 6,412. In Women’s competition, Ohio State dominated 3,139-2,405.
Ohio State improves to 11-0 in head-to-head action this season.

WOMEN:

Katelyn Abeln broke the Open Sport school record by shooting a 572.
Several Buckeyes set new personal bests against Texas A&M including Abeln (553 standard, 572 open and women’s sport, 1,677 3-gun aggregate), Bernard Melus (557 air and 1,671 3-gun aggregate) and Logan Quinn (547 air).
Additional highlights from the match include Abeln taking first in sport, first in standard, second in air and first in every women’s event. Melus also placed first in air, second in sport and second in standard. Robert Delgrange earned fourth in both sport and air.
The team is back at it in the new year, January 18, at the Camp Perry Open.
