COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State will participate once again in the ACC/Big Ten Softball Challenge in 2023. The Buckeyes will head south to Clemson, S.C. for four games the weekend of Feb. 17-19 when it will face Notre Dame and host Clemson.
The Buckeyes and Fighting Irish have played 12 times previously, most recently in 2020. The 2023 season will be the first time Clemson faces the Buckeyes. The upcoming season will mark the sixth annual event. It will be the fifth time the Buckeyes have taken part, with previous trips that took Ohio State to Georgia Tech (2016), North Carolina (2017) and N.C. State (2018 and 2020).
The ACC owns a 3-2 lead on the Big Ten during the first five years of the Challenge. The ACC won the Challenge in 2017, 2018 and 2020, with the Big Ten claiming the title in 2016 and 2019.
