Big Ten Softball Announces 2027 Schedule

Ohio State will host Rutgers, Michigan, Wisconsin and Northwestern
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State softball has its Big Ten schedule set for the 2027 season, as finalized by the conference.
The Buckeyes will open conference play March 12-14, hosting Rutgers for a three-game series. Following an off weekend, Ohio State will travel to University Park, Pa. for a set with Penn State, March 26-28.
The Buckeyes will come back to Columbus to host conference rival Michigan, April 2-4. Ohio State penned a sweep of the Wolverines in their last trip to Buckeye Field, which came in the 2025 season.
Ohio State will then hit the road for meetings with Michigan State (April 9-11) and the reigning Big Ten champion Nebraska Cornhuskers (April 16-18).
Ohio State will return to Buckeye Field for back-to-back series against Wisconsin (April 23-25) and Northwestern (April 30-May 2) before finishing the regular season in College Park, Md. against Maryland (May 6-8). Nebraska will host the 2027 Big Ten Tournament from May 12-15.
Three of Ohio State's slated opponents finished in the top half of Big Ten standings in 2026, with Michigan, Nebraska and Wisconsin earning NCAA tournament berths. Ohio State has finished with a winning conference record in every season since 2014.
Buckeye Field will offer both General Admission and Reserved seating. A limited number of student tickets will be available for free at each game with a BuckID on a first come, first serve basis. Children under two years old and younger will be admitted free but must sit on an adult's lap.
