COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State gymnasts Cameron Smith and Tory Vetter will compete at the 2026 NCAA Championships Thursday, April 16. The Buckeye duo will vie for individual national titles in the first semifinal of the championships at 4:30 p.m. ET from Dickies Arena in Forth Worth, Texas.

Vetter qualified in the all-around and will rotate with Florida, competing beam, floor, vault then bars. Smith will compete on vault in the second rotation and will be rotating with Stanford. The meet will be televised on ESPN2.

The Buckeyes are the first Ohio State gymnasts to qualify for nationals since 2023. That season, Elexis Edwards and Payton Harris competed, with Edwards earning second team All-America honors on floor. Smith is the first Buckeye to qualify on vault since Jamie Stone in 2018.

Notes on Cameron
- Smith advanced to the championships with a career-high 9.950 on vault. She tied teammates Vetter and Natalie Martin for the Lexington regional title.
- One of two Buckeyes in the vault lineup with a 10.0 start value, she earned a perfect score from one judge and three 9.950s in the regional semifinal. Smith added a 9.900 in the regional final to tie for the team lead for the second time in the regional.
- Smith is a three-event specialist for the Buckeyes, competing on vault, beam and floor this season. The sophomore has competed in every meet the last two seasons, and in every meet on vault.
- The Ellicott City, Md. native has career highs of 9.950 on vault, 9.900 on floor and 9.875 on beam.
- In addition to her regional crown, Smith won the vault title against Illinois on Jan. 24.
- Smith finished the regular season with a 9.845 national qualifying score.
- Vetter earned an all-around score of 39.500 in the NCAA Lexington Regional to finish second overall and advance to nationals. She tied with Smith for the regional championship on vault, scoring a career-high 9.950 on the apparatus.
- The Hilliard, Ohio native has recorded at least a 9.9 on every apparatus this season and XX on the year. In addition to her career-high on vault, she has scored season highs of 9.9 on uneven bars and floor and 9.925 on beam. In the all-around, her season high is a 39.525, which she hit twice this season. She is tied for the team lead on vault and uneven bars.
- This year, Vetter has won six all-around titles and 13 total event titles.
- Vetter has competed in 54 meets in her career as a Buckeye and in 53 of the team's 54 meets over the last four seasons. She has competed in every meet the last three seasons for Ohio State and in the all-around in 43 meets.
- Vetter is a three-time First Team All-Big Ten honoree and a two-time Big Ten All-Championships Team member. She is also a Big Ten Champion, earning a share of the beam title in 2024.
- Vetter has tied the program all-around record in her Buckeye career, scoring a 39.625 during the 2024 season.
