COLUMBUS, Ohio – With a fifth consecutive win on the road, the No. 3 ranked Ohio State women's tennis team improved to 19-3 on the year and 10-1 in Big Ten action. The Buckeyes topped Indiana, 4-0, Sunday in Bloomington after opening the weekend with a 4-0 win at Purdue Saturday. Last week, Ohio State notched victories at Michigan (nonconference), Nebraska and Iowa.

Against Indiana (14-9, 4-7 B1G), Ohio State took the doubles point with wins from Hephzibah Oluwadare and Teah Chavez and Luciana Perry and Flora Johnson. In singles, Nao Nishino, Johnson and Sophia Cisse-Ignatiev each won in straight sets for the B1G victory.

The Buckeyes will wrap up the regular season at home next weekend, taking on Oregon at 6 p.m. Friday and No. 21 Washington at noon Sunday.
The night match vs. Oregon will be inside the Ty Tucker Tennis Center and the match vs. the Huskies is scheduled to be played outside at the Auer Tennis Complex. Admission and parking are free for all home matches.

How it Happened

With wins on courts two and one vs. the Hoosiers, Ohio State claimed the doubles point and 1-0 lead.
The duo of No. 22-ranked Hephzibah Oluwadare and Teah Chavez prevailed 6-2 on court two, followed by a win from No. 36-ranked Flora Johnson and Luciana Perry on court one, 6-4.
In singles, the Buckeyes took five first sets and went on to prevail in straight sets on three courts for the team win.
On court four, No. 74-ranked Nao Nishino topped Nicole Teodosescu, 6-0, 6-2, for a 2-0 Buckeye lead.
Flora Johnson followed, as she was a 6-1, 6-2 winner on court six over Li Hsin Lin to put Ohio State ahead 3-0.
Sophia Cisse-Ignatiev clinched Ohio State's victory with a 6-4, 6-2 win over Ameia Sorey on court two.
The remainder of the matches were unfinished. On court one Chavez was early in the third set, while on court three Audrey Spencer was down in set two after winning the first. On court five, Oluwadare dropped her first set but led 5-3 in the second.
Nishino leads Ohio State with 25 overall wins this season and is 14-4 in dual play. The win was the 50th of her Buckeye career. Cisse-Ignatiev is 7-6 this spring, with Johnson 4-2.
In doubles, Johnson and Perry are 10-2 to lead the Buckeyes, while Chavez and Oluwadare are 7-8.
