Ohio State Resumes Big Ten Duals at Illinois Saturday

The Buckeyes travel to Champaign to face No. 7 Illinois in a dual meet on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 4 Ohio State men's gymnastics team (7-3, 1-0 B1G) travels to No. 7 Illinois (2-5-1, 0-2 B1G) for a Big Ten dual meet. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on B1G+.
- Ohio State earned its highest team score of the season (320.650) in a tri-meet win against No. 13 Army and No. 14 William & Mary last weekend on senior day.
- The Buckeyes earned five individual event titles. Jesse Pakele captured a win on rings (13.650) and parallel bars (13.600), while Chase Davenport-Mills won floor (season-high 14.000), Parker Thackston won pommel horse (15.300) and Jacob Harmon won high bar (season-high 13.850).
- Ohio State recorded its highest team score of the season on both floor (54.100) and pommel horse (56.550). That pommel horse score was the highest by any team in the country this season.
- Thackston was named Big Ten Specialist of the Week and CGA Specialist of the Week for his performance. His 15.300 on pommel horse was his second consecutive score 15.000 or better and his second consecutive pommel horse title. He's the only gymnast in the country to score a 15.000 or higher on pommel horse.
- Lukas Ross was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week after earning a career-high 13.450 on floor to finish as the event's runner-up – his first collegiate podium finish.
