
Coleman, Vetter Earn All-Big Ten Honors

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women's gymnasts JJ Coleman and Tory Vetter have been named to the All-Big Ten team, the conference announced Wednesday. Vetter is a first team honoree and Coleman is on the second team.
Vetter is the team's all-around competitor and is one of the best all-arounders in the Big Ten. She has scored a season-high 39.525 twice this season and also leads the team on vault with a 9.900. The Hillard, Ohio native has won 13 event titles on the year, including six in the all-around. Vetter is currently ranked sixth in the conference with an all-around NQS of 39.410, seventh on beam (9.895) and top 20 on vault (9.850) and floor (9.885).
Coleman has been one of the country's top performers on floor this season. She is third in the Big Ten and 12th nationally with an NQS of 9.930. The sophomore has scored at least a 9.900 on the apparatus in all but one meet this season and became the team's first gymnast since 2003 to record a 10.0 in the home finale on March 8. Not only does she lead the team on floor, but she is tied for the team lead with a 9.900 on vault and uneven bars. Coleman has nine event titles on the year, with six on floor.
Also picking up a postseason honor by the conference this season is fifth year vault, bars and floor specialist Kaitlyn Grimes, who is the team's Sportsmanship Award honoree.
