COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 2 Ohio State defeated No. 1 Virginia 5-2 Saturday at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center.
The win improves the Buckeyes' record to 7-0 on the season and it marks the third-consecutive win over a Top 5 opponent.
This was the fourth-consecutive Ohio State win over Virginia dating back to 2024 and the Buckeyes sixth-consecutive win over teams ranked No. 1.
Dating back to 2000, with their wins against Wake Forest and Virginia, this is the first time the Buckeyes have beat back-to-back No. 1 overall opponents.
