COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 2 Ohio State is the No. 1 seed in the SMU Bracket at the ITA Men's Indoor Team National Championship this weekend in Dallas.

The tournament's opening rounds will be held at two sites, the Styslinger/Altec Tennis Complex at SMU and the Jim and Nell Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center at Baylor. The semifinals and finals Monday and Tuesday will be at SMU.
The Buckeyes will open the 16-team tournament at 1 p.m., Friday, against SMU. With a victory, Ohio State or the Mustangs will then play either No. 4-seed Stanford or No. 5 Arizona State Saturday (1 p.m.).
All matches will be streamed on the ITA's Youtube.

The Buckeyes are the No. 1 seed in the SMU Bracket and enter the weekend with an undefeated 7-0 record on the year.
Last year, the Buckeyes, ranked as the No. 2 seed, were defeated in the first round of the tournament by UCF.
Ohio State and SMU are meeting for the fourth time in the series. The Buckeyes are looking for the first win over SMU.
The Buckeyes are three-time ITA National Indoor Champions, winning in 2014, 2019, and 2024. Ohio State is 44-18 in the ITA National Indoor Championships.
Ohio State has reached the championship match seven times and the semifinals 12 times.
The Buckeyes qualified this year following 4-0 victories over North Alabama and Purdue in the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Columbus Jan. 23 & 24.
Last weekend, the Buckeyes defeated No. 1 Virginia at home, marking the third-consecutive win over Top 5 opponents (5-2 vs. No. 1 Virginia, 4-0 vs. No. 1 Wake Forest and 4-1 vs. No. 5 Texas).
Since the fall, five Buckeyes have earned a Big Ten Player of the Week honor. Nikita Filin received it twice, Aidan Kim, Jack Anthrop, Alex Okonkwo and Alexander Bernard all earned it once.
Loren Byers leads the team with an undefeated 5-0 record in dual singles matches on court six so far this winter.
Five Buckeyes are ranked in the latest ITA singles rankings. Aidan Kim leads the way at No. 13, followed by Preston Stearns at No. 22, Jack Anthrop at No. 24, Alex Okonkwo at No. 29 and Nikita Filin at No. 98.
Brandon Carpico and Nikita Filin jumped to the No. 1 doubles team in the latest ITA ranking and have defeated three-consecutive ranked teams on their way to the top.
In doubles, five Ohio State pairs are ranked with three teams in the Top 10. Brandon Carpico and Filin at No. 1, Bernard and Okonkwo at No. 7, Kim and Bryce Nakashima at No. 8, Anthrop and Stearns at No. 43 and Anthrop and Byers at No. 47.
