Ohio State Travels to Norman to Face No. 2 Oklahoma and No. 13 Air Force

The Buckeyes will compete in the tri-meet on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 3 Ohio State men's gymnastics team (4-2, 1-0 B1G) travels to Norman to face No. 2 Oklahoma (6-0) and No. 13 Air Force (2-3) in a tri-meet on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. The meet will be broadcast on Virti.us.
- Ohio State ranks third in the nation in the Road to Nationals rankings after beating Nebraska by a 316.300-313.050 margin in last weekend's Big Ten opener.
- On Tuesday, David Ramirez was named Big Ten Gymnast of the Week and Jesse Pakele was named Big Ten Specialist of the Week for their performances against the Huskers. This was the first Big Ten weekly award for each of them.
- Against Nebraska, Ramirez earned a win on parallel bars – sticking his dismount to earn a score of 13.700. He helped complete the Buckeyes' comeback by finishing second on high bar (13.600). Ramirez also contributed a 13.950 to the Buckeyes' best team score on vault this season.
- Pakele began the Nebraska meet with a win on floor, scoring a season-high 14.000. Pakele's career-high 13.650 on rings was good for second place in the meet. He wrapped up the day with a 13.650 on parallel bars, again finishing as the runner-up. Pakele led the Buckeyes to their best team scores of the season on both floor and rings.
- Noah Copeland tied Ramirez for second place on high bar with a career-high 13.600.
- Freshman Peyton Contini made his collegiate rings debut, sticking his dismount for a score of 13.150.
- Kristian Grahovski finished third on rings (13.400).
