
Buckeyes Named B1G Players to Watch

Callaghan, Torres and Tyack recognized
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three members of the Ohio State women's lacrosse team have been recognized as Big Ten Players to Watch, the B1G announced Wednesday. Seniors Camryn Callaghan and Jocelyn Torres and junior Kate Tyack were among the 27 players named to the list.

Callaghan, who plays attack and is from Upper Arlington, Ohio, is in her first year as a Buckeye after three seasons at Cincinnati, where she scored 157 goals, 29 assists and 186 points in 52 games. In 2025 she had 54 points, including 45 goals, while starting all 17 games. She was the AAC Freshman of the Year in 2023 and a two-time First Team All-AAC honoree. Callaghan was a two-time captain for the Bearcats and earned All-Academic AAC accolades.
Tyack, a native of Dublin, Ohio, plays attack for the Buckeyes. She saw action in 32 games, starting 24, over her first two seasons, with 58 goals and 12 assists for 70 points. In 2025, Tyack started all 15 games and had a team-high 34 goals, ranking second with 39 points. She has earned Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Big Ten honors.

A goalie from Glenwood, Md., and captain for the Buckeyes this season, Torres has started 52 games over the last three campaigns, with a 10.52 goals-against average and .558 save percentage. After two years at Virginia Tech, Torres started all 15 games for the Buckeyes in 2025, ranking sixth in the NCAA in save percentage (.496) and ranking 12th nationally in goals-against average (9.49). She is an IWLCA Academic Honor Roll and Ohio State Scholar-Athlete selection.

The Buckeyes start the season at noon Saturday when they host Pitt inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center. Admission is free, with seating limited.
