Sam Deckhut scored twice for Ohio State
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men's hockey team lost in overtime at No. 6 Penn State, 5-4, Saturday in Pegula Ice Arena in University Park, Pa. The teams were tied at one after the first and the Buckeyes led 4-2 through two periods. Penn State notched the game's final three goals for the win.

The game wrapped up the weekend and regular season series between the Buckeyes (11-18-1, 7-13 B1G) and Nittany Lions (20-9-1, 12-7-1 B1G). Ohio State is 1-6-1 in overtime this year and the game was the third one-goal contest between the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions this season.

- Ohio State's Sam Deckhut opened the scoring 5:24 into the game, collecting a loose puck and scoring from the side of the net. Sam McGinley and Thomas Weis assisted on the goal, Deckhut's first of the season.
- Penn State tied the game on a power play goal at 19:05, coming in the last minute of a major advantage.
