COLUMBUS, Ohio -- No. 1 Ohio State hosts No. 24 Notre Dame at noon Sunday followed by Dayton at 5 p.m at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center.
- The Buckeyes are coming off of the ITA Team Indoor National Championship that saw Ohio State defeat SMU (4-3), Stanford (4-3) and Virginia (4-2) before falling 4-2 in the finals to Texas.
- The Buckeyes opened the season ranked No. 6 in the ITA preseason rankings, they moved up to No. 2 in the first rankings and jumped to No. 1 in the latest rankings. The last time Ohio State was ranked No. 1 was in the 2024 season that saw the Buckeyes go 34-2.
- At the ITA Indoors in Dallas, senior Jack Anthrop went 4-0 in singles, including a clinching win over SMU. His efforts earned him Big Ten Player of the Week and a spot on the 2026 ITA Team Indoors All-Tournament team at No. 3 singles.
- The Buckeyes started the season 10-0, holding an undefeated 5-0 record against Top 10 ranked teams before falling to No. 7 Texas.
- Aidan Kim earned clinching victories in singles over No. 4 Stanford and No. 1 Virginia over the weekend. Kim defeated No. 2 Dylan Dietrich in three sets after Dietrich defeated Kim earlier in the month in the Buckeyes 5-2 victory against Virginia in Columbus.
- Nikita Filin continued his dominance in doubles and singles, winning three singles and two doubles matches with partner Brandon Carpico.
- Ohio State leads the all-time series against Notre Dame and Dayton. Against the Fighting Irish, the Buckeyes are 39-27 and against the Flyers they're 7-2.
- The Fighting Irish's Sebastian Dominko ranks No. 14 in singles.Â
- The Flyers' pair of Sturle Hoff Skigelstrand and Kyle McNally hold the 30th spot in the latest ITA rankings.
- In the latest ITA singles rankings, release Feb. 19, six Buckeyes are ranked with five moving up the leaderboard. Aidan Kim leads the way at No. 8, followed by Jack Anthrop at No. 19, Preston Stearns at No. 20, Alex Okonkwo at No. 33, Nikita Filin at No. 71 and Bryce Nakashima at No. 122.
- Four Ohio State pairs are ranked in the latest ITA doubles rankings with Brandon Carpico and Nikita Filin holding their spot at No. 1, Alexander Bernard and Okonkwo are No. 16, Aidan Kim and Bryce Nakashima are No. 17 and Jack Anthrop and Preston Stearns are No. 41.
