Ohio State Travels to No. 8 Maryland Sunday

The Buckeyes and Terrapins face off on Sunday in College Park for the first of two regular-season meetings.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 19/19 Ohio State women's basketball team (14-2, 4-1 B1G) travels to No. 8/8 Maryland (16-1, 4-1 B1G) for the first of two regular-season meetings on Sunday. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. in a game broadcast on Peacock and AM1460.

- Ohio State earned a 78-69 win at RV/RV Illinois on Wednesday night, the Fighting Illini's first home loss of the season.
- Jaloni Cambridge made history with a career-high 41 points on a career-high 15 made field goals. She added six rebounds, six assists and a pair of steals. She is the first Buckeye to put up 40 since Kelsey Mitchell scored 45 against West Virginia on March 20, 2026. Cambridge became the fourth program history to score at least 40 points in a game, joining Mitchell, Samantha Prahalis and Katie Smith.
- Chance Gray (tied season-high 18) and Kylee Kitts (10) also scored in double figures.
- No. 8/8 Maryland enters the game with a 16-1 overall record and is 4-1 in conference play. The Terrapins are a perfect 12-0 at home this season.
- In Big Ten play, Maryland has beaten Minnesota, Wisconsin, Indiana and Rutgers. The Terrapins' lone loss of the season was at Illinois on New Year's Day by a 73-70 margin.
- Oluchi Okananwa is top 10 in the conference in scoring with 17.3 points per game and is tied for sixth in the league with 2.1 steals per game.
- Ohio State trails 16-9 in the all-time series against Maryland. The Buckeyes trail 9-3 when facing the Terrapins in College Park.
- Last season, the teams played twice during the regular season with each team winning on their home floor. The Buckeyes earned a 74-66 victory in Columbus on Jan. 23, 2025 and the Terrapins won on a buzzer-beater in overtime, 93-90, in College Park on March 2, 2025.
