Event wraps up regular season slate
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Ohio State fencing programs will close out the regular season this weekend at the Schiller Duals hosted by Northwestern in Ryan Fieldhouse in Evanston, Ill. The event features eight total rounds of fencing Saturday and seven on Sunday. The Buckeye women are scheduled for 10 duals, with the men slated for six. Buckeye This and That
- At the Schiller Duals last season, the Buckeye men were 9-0 and the women were 8-2.
- This season, the Buckeye women are 20-11 in all duals combined and the men are 16-13.
- Epee paces the women with a 21-10 squad ledger, while sabre is 19-12 and foil is 11-20. For the men, epee has a 23-6 mark, foil is 17-12 and sabre is 11-18.
- The men's squad was ranked fifth in the midseason USFCA poll and the women were seventh.
- The CCFC Championships will be hosted by Denison University in Granville, Ohio, Feb. 21-22. Ohio State is the defending men's and women's champion.
- Cleveland State will host the NCAA Regionals March 8 and the NCAA Championships will be hosted by Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind., March 19-22. The women's championships will be the first two days, with the men the second two.
