COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women's hockey team and No. 9 Minnesota Duluth will play a two-game WCHA series this weekend in Columbus. The Buckeyes (23-3-0, 17-3-0 WCHA) and Bulldogs (13-10-3, 9-8-3 WCHA) face off 6 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday from the OSU Ice Rink. Â

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- This weekend's series against the ninth-ranked Bulldogs is the first of three straight top 10 opponents for Ohio State and the team's fourth ranked opponent in the last five series. Â The Buckeyes are 17-3-0 in ranked matchups in 2025-26.
- Ohio State is ranked second in the country for the seventh straight week. The Buckeyes are second in the WCHA standings with 49 points.
- Senior alternate captain Sloane Matthews has a point in the last three games and seven in the last five games. Her 26 points this season rank third-most on the team and two shy of her career-high 28 points recorded in the 2023-24 season. Her 16 assists on the year are a career best.
- Junior captain Jocelyn Amos has recorded five goals in the last four games for Ohio State, including the game-tying and game-winning goals in the 2-1 overtime win over St. Thomas. Amos is one of five Buckeyes with more than 20 points this season, scoring 25 on 12 goals and 13 assists.
- Senior goaltender Hailey MacLeod ranks top 10 nationally with a 1.50 goals-against average. She is 13-2-0 on the season with four shut outs and a .922 save percentage.
- The team is first in the country at the faceoff dot with a .610 win percentage. Amos leads the team with 303 wins and a .663 win percentage. Her win total is top 10 in the country and second in the WCHA.
- The Buckeyes are also top five nationally in assists (167), goals (119), points (286), scoring defense (1.69), scoring margin (2.88) scoring offense (4.58) and win percentage (.885).
- This weekend's series marks the first without Olympians Joy Dunne, Mira Jungåker, Jenna Raunio, Hilda Svensson and Sanni Vanhanen. There are 12 Buckeyes competing at the games, including seven program alumnae. The total is tied with Wisconsin for the most representatives in women's hockey by an NCAA program at this year's Olympic games. Women's hockey at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan will be contested Feb. 5-17.
- The Buckeyes are led by head coach Nadine Muzerall, who is in her 10th season at the helm. She is the program's winningest head coach with a 247-84-22 record at Ohio State.
- Ohio State is 19-6-0 against Minnesota Duluth since the 2020-21 season. The Bulldogs hold the advantage in the all-time series, 76-37-8.
- In the first meeting between the teams this season, Ohio State swept Minnesota Duluth in Duluth with 3-1 and 4-1 wins.
- Former Buckeye captain Liv Soares is in her second season as an assistant coach for Minnesota Duluth.
- The Buckeyes won both games against St. Thomas last weekend at the OSU Ice Rink to finish the regular season 4-0-0 against the Tommies.
- Amos, Matthews and Joy Dunne recorded a team-high three points in the series with Amos scoring a team-high three goals.
- Freshman goalie Taylor Kressin earned her sixth win of the season with a nine save performance in game one and MacLeod made 10 saves for the game two shutout.
- The Buckeye penalty kill went 4-for-4 and allowed just four shot attempts.
