COLUMBUS, Ohio -- No. 6 Ohio State will play host to a pair of Top 5 teams this weekend at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center. No. 5 Texas visits Friday (6 p.m.) and No. 1 Wake Forest Sunday (2 p.m.) The Buckeye's will look to stay undefeated on the year as they currently stand at 4-0.

Ohio State won the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Columbus last week. The Buckeyes now advance to next month's ITA Indoor Team National Championship in Dallas, Texas. This will be the Buckeyes' 17th appearance in the ITA Indoor Team National Championship.

Ohio State won the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Columbus last week. The Buckeyes now advance to next month's ITA Indoor Team National Championship in Dallas, Texas. This will be the Buckeyes' 17th appearance in the ITA Indoor Team National Championship.
- With a doubles victory to go with a win in singles, Ohio State's Alexander Bernard was named the Big Ten Player of the Week following a pair of 4-0 wins for the Buckeyes in the ITA Kickoff Weekend. Ohio State defeated both North Alabama and Purdue to claim the championships. Bernard, ranked No. 10 in doubles with partner Alex Okonkwo, helped earn the doubles point against North Alabama while winning his singles match against Purdue.
- The Longhorns are 4-2 on the year, they dropped two Top 5 matches before ITA Kickoff Weekend against No. 5 Virginia 4-1 and No. 1 Wake Forest 4-2.Â
- Texas and Ohio State have had a close series all-time. The Buckeyes are 11-10 against the Longhorns. Texas has now won in Columbus.
- The No. 1 Demon Deacons are a perfect 6-0 after hosting the ITA Kickoff Weekend and defeating Virginia Tech and Vanderbilt.
- Against Wake Forest, Ohio State is 13-5 all-time. This will be the 18th all-time meeting with the Demon Deacons. Wake Forest won 4-2 in the NCAA Championship match in Winston-Salem in 2018 but since then, the Buckeyes have won seven out of the last eight meetings. Last year, Wake Forest won 4-3 at home.
- The last time Ohio State faced off against the No. 1 team was back on Feb. 4th, 2022 against Tennessee where the Buckeyes beat the Volunteers 4-0 at the Ty Tucker Tennis Center.
- Jack Anthrop and Loren Byers lead the team with 3-0 dual match singles records. Aidan Kim captured his first singles win of the season over Purdue at the ITA Kickoff Weekend Championship.
- The Buckeyes opened the season ranked No. 6 in the ITA preseason rankings and have held that ranking in each of the first three weeks of the season.
- Five Buckeyes were ranked in the preseason singles rankings. Kim leads the way at No. 5, followed by Anthrop at No. 22, Nikita Filin at No. 42, Alex Okonkwo at No. 48 and Preston Stearns at No. 51.Â
- Alexander Bernard and Okonkwo are 3-0 as a doubles pair. Bryce Nakashima is 3-0 with Kim and Anthrop as partners.
- Five Ohio State pairs were named in the preseason doubles rankings including three teams in the Top 10. Kim and Nakashima at No. 3, followed by Brandon Carpico and Nikita Filin at No. 5, Bernard and Okonkwo at No. 10, Anthrop and Byers at No. 26 and Anthrop and Stearns at No. 32.
- The next singles and doubles ITA rankings come out Feb. 4th.
