Buckeyes Win Season-Opener vs. Stanford, Michigan

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State artistic swimming team opened its 2026 season with a win over Stanford and Michigan at the OSU Invitational Saturday at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. The Buckeyes earned 91 points over the Cardinal's 61 and Wolverine's 37.
Ohio State started the meet with a one-two finish in the duet category. Scarlett Finn and Emma Spott paired up for a first-place result followed by Keana Hunter and Ruby Remati in second. Stanford finished third. In all, Ohio State competed seven duet routines.
Remati and Finn competed in the solo category for Ohio State in the season-opener, earning first and second place, respectively.
In trio, Ohio State's best result of the meet was a second-place result by Rikki Evans, Natalie Smith and Nathalia Valdez. Five trio teams competed for the Buckeyes.
Freshmen Ayla Barry, Kennah Burdette, Chloe Davitiani, Elizabeth Fullen and Viola Li made their Buckeye debuts in the meet.
Ohio State continues its season next weekend at the UIW Invitational Jan. 30-31 in San Antonio, Texas.
