COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women's hockey team begins its two-week homestand this weekend at the OSU Ice Rink against St. Thomas Jan. 23-24. The two-game WCHA series between the Buckeyes (21-3-0, 15-3-0 WCHA) is set for 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday.

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- The Buckeyes are back on home ice for the first time since the sweep of No. 4 Penn State Jan. 2-3. Ohio State is 8-2-0 at the OSU Ice Rink this season. This weekend's conference matchup against St. Thomas is the first WCHA home series for the Buckeyes in 49 days.
- Ohio State is coming off back-to-back WCHA road sweeps of No. 15 St. Cloud State and No. 13/14 Minnesota State. The team is 15-3-0 in league play this season and is second in the standings with 44 points.
- Five members of the 2025-26 team – Joy Dunne (USA), Mira Jungåker (SWE), Jenna Raunio (SWE), Hilda Svensson (SWE) and Sanni Vanhanen (FIN) – will represent their respective national teams at the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan. Dunne, Jungåker, Svensson and Raunio will make their Olympic debuts this year. The group of Buckeyes join seven alumnae for a total of 12 Ohio State women's hockey players who will skate at the XXV Olympiad next month.
- The team is led in scoring by Olympians Dunne and Svensson. Svensson is the team leader in points (32) and assists (27) and is second to Dunne in goals (15) while Dunne has scored a team-high 24 goals on the year and is second to Svensson in points (41) and assists (17). They are two of just five 40-point scorers in the country so far this season.
- The duo earned WCHA weekly awards for their performances at Minnesota State last weekend. Dunne picked up her second consecutive WCHA Defender of the Week award while Svensson earned her sixth WCHA Rookie of the Week honor. More on the awards HERE.
- Ohio State has seen point production up and down the lineup this season with every skater recording at least a point and 11 hitting double figures.
- Ohio State's defense only allows 1.79 goals per game on the year. The Buckeyes, who are third in the country in scoring offense with 4.67 goals per game, have faced the other four of the top five scoring offenses in the country. The team is third nationally with a 2.88 scoring margin.
- The team went undefeated in non-conference play this season. All six non-conference games were played against ranked opponents. Ohio State is 17-3-0 against ranked teams in 2025-26 and its only losses on the season have come against the No. 1 and No. 3 ranked teams.
- The Buckeyes are led by head coach Nadine Muzerall, who is in her 10th season at the helm. She is the program's winningest head coach with a 245-84-22 record at Ohio State.
- Ohio State was St. Thomas' first opponent as a Division I and WCHA team and since the first meeting between the teams in 2021, the Buckeyes are 10-0-0 against the Tommies.
- Ohio State has only give up two conference points to St. Thomas in the all-time series. Both points were results of overtime games won by the Buckeyes.
- Ohio State won the first two meetings between the teams this year in St. Paul, Minn. The Buckeyes took game one in overtime, 3-2, and earned their second shutout of the year with an 8-0 win in game two.
- Ohio State earned the regular season series sweep of Minnesota State with a pair of wins in Mankato last weekend.
- In game one, Joy Dunne scored four goals in the 7-4 victory over the Mavericks. Jocelyn Amos also recorded a multi-goal game and added two assists to tie Dunne with a team-high four-point game.
- Taylor Kressin allowed just one goal and made 11 saves in the 4-1 game two win. Dunne added another goal for a team-high five goal weekend. The Buckeye penalty kill went 4-for-4 and allowed just three shots.
- The program recorded its 500th win in game two at Minnesota State.
