COLUMBUS, Ohio – The men's lacrosse team put in a strong start to its preparation for the 2026 season with a successful semester in the classroom this fall.
"Our men have been hard at work this offseason both on and off the field and I'm incredibly proud of their success in the classroom this fall," Ohio State head coach Nick Myers said. "Our standard of excellence applies to all facets of the student-athlete experience and the men take great pride in their academic performance. We're lucky to have an incredible support system in place at Ohio State that helps our men not only thrive athletically, but in their academic careers as well."
The Buckeyes earned a semester grade point average of 3.50 for their 18th straight term with at least at 3.20 GPA.
Fourteen players finished the fall semester with GPA's of 3.75 or higher. Taji Flynn, Griffin Liedel, Alex Marinier, Matt Mayfield and Bobby Van Buren finished the semester with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
In all, 40 Buckeyes earned Ohio State Scholar-Athlete honors for GPAs of 3.00 or above.
