Buckeyes Battle on First Day of the Folds of Honor Collegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Buckeyes kicked off the first event of the season Monday morning at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Grand Haven, Mich.
Kary Hollenbaugh opened her senior season with a birdie on the first hole and finished with a 3-over 75. Freshman Matilde Santilli matched Hollenbaugh in her first collegiate round, birdying three of the final eight holes to finish with a 75.
Nellie Ong and freshman Sophie Eppelstun each finished with a 77 and Marina Joyce-Moreno rounded out the Buckeyes with a 79.
The Buckeyes will start the second round at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon and The Golf Channel will have live coverage from 4:30-7:30 p.m.
