Buckeyes Finish Top-5 at Clemson Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio – On Sunday at The Reserve at Lake Keowee in Sunset, South Carolina, the Ohio State women's golf team completed the third and final round of the Clemson Invitational, finishing the tournament with an overall score of 285 and securing fifth place. The team's performance over the three rounds included scores of 283 (-5) in the first round, 298 (+10) in the second, and 285 (-3) in the final round, resulting in a cumulative +2 for the tournament.
Matilde Santilli led the Buckeyes in the final round with a 69 (-3), tying her season-low and recording five birdies. Kary Hollenbaugh and Sophie Eppelstun followed closely, each shooting an even-par 71. Eppelstun recorded five birdies, including a streak of three consecutive birdies on holes 16, 17, and 18. Mandy Song contributed a 74 (+2), which Nellie Ong also matched, rounding out the team scoring and helping the Buckeyes secure a top-5 finish. Competing as an individual, Marina Joyce-Moreno posted a 71 (E) to conclude the tournament.
The Buckeyes will return to action April 17-18 on their home course for the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational.
