
Buckeyes Post Low Round of the Day, Finish 3rd at the Windon Memorial

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State fired a 13-under 275, which was the lowest round of the day, to climb up the board finish third at the Windon Memorial Classic this week at the Knollwood Club in Lake Forest, Ill.
The Buckeyes made a total of 24 birdies on Tuesday and finished the event at 21-under par.
Junior Tyler Sabo posted eight of those birdies on his way to a career-low round of 7-under 65. That jumped him into a tie for 21st at 3-under par.
Joe Wilson IV also finished well, firing a bogey-free 5-under 67 on Tuesday. That raised him into a tie for 11th at 6-under par and he was the low Buckeye this week. Vaughn Harber posted the third under-par round on Tuesday with a final round 3-under 69.
Timotej Formanek finished a shot behind Wilson IV at 5-under par. He had rounds of 70-67-74 while freshman Giedruis Mackelis posted three rounds of 72-69-74 to finish at 1-under par for the event.
The Buckeyes will close the fall back in Ohio in a couple of weeks as they will play in the Moraine Intercollegiate at Moraine Country Club on Oct. 13-14.
