Sabo in Top 15 Through Two Rounds of Bearcat Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State junior Tyler Sabo carded a second round 3-under 68 and is tied for 13th at 2-under through two rounds of the Bearcat Invitational at Coldstream Country Club in Cincinnati.
As a team, the Buckeyes are in 10th place but just eight shots out of third place headed into Tuesday’s final round.
Sabo made just two bogeys on the day and was second in the field with 29 pars. He also is tied for the lead in par-4 scoring at 3-under.
Joe Wilson IV and Vaughn Harber each carded rounds of 73 and 72 and sit at +3 for the event. Harber made three birdies and the lone Buckeye eagle in the opening round.
Freshman Giedrius Mackelis made his collegiate debut on Monday and posted rounds of 72-74 and is 50th at 4-over par. Timotej Formank had a rough opening round but rebounded with a solid even-par 71 in the afternoon to take momentum into Tuesday. Topher Reed, who is playing as an individual, had rounds of 75-76 and is 9-over par.
The Buckeyes are paired with Memphis, Kentucky and Augusta for the final round and will start on holes 9-12 for the 9 a.m. shotgun start.
