Hollenbaugh Posts Top 10 Finish at Folds of Honor Collegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s golf team wrapped up its first tournament of the season on Wednesday, securing a ninth-place finish to open the year.
The Buckeyes were paced by senior Kary Hollenbaugh, who carded a top-10 finish with a share of seventh place. This was the 15th Top 10 finish of her career. Hollenbaugh fired a steady 71 (-1) in the final round, highlighted by three birdies, to finish at 2-over par for the event.
Freshman Matilde Santilli capped her Buckeye debut with an impressive third round, rolling in three birdies on her way to a 74 (+2). She finished tied for 21st at 9-over par. Close behind was Nellie Ong, who finished 76 (+4), while fellow freshman Sophie Eppelstun added a 77 (+5). Marina Joyce-Moreno rounded out the lineup with an 82.
Ohio State is back in action on Monday, September 15th at the Inverness Collegiate in Toledo, Ohio.
