
Buckeyes in ITA Rankings to Start the Season

Perry and Chavez in Top 15 in singles
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Four Ohio State singles players and two Buckeye doubles teams are in the ITA rankings entering the 2025-26 campaign.
Luciana Perry, a two-time All-American who ended last season ranked ninth, starts her junior campaign a career-best No.5. She has been in the Top 10 since December 2024. Teah Chavez claimed All-America honors after ending last season ranked 18th and she starts her junior season No. 11, a personal best. The tandem kicks off the year No. 29 and was ranked as high as No. 10 last season (April 1).
Perry is the third Buckeye to be ranked in the Top 5, joining Francesca Di Lorenzo and Irina Cantos Siemers. All-time, eight Buckeyes have been in the singles Top 20.Â
Sophomore Nao Nishino begins this campaign a career-high No. 60 after reaching as high as No. 86 as a freshman (Feb. 20). Junior Audrey Spencer enters the year at No. 65. She reached as high as No. 56 a season ago. As a tandem, Nishino and Spencer are ranked 63rd. The duo was in the final two rankings last season, with a high of No. 75.Â
