COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 25 Ohio State women's soccer team will hit the road for a pair of non-conference matchups this week. The Buckeyes play at No. 16 South Carolina on Thursday night at 7 p.m. before traveling to Wilmington, North Carolina, to take on UNCW at noon on Sunday. Â
- The meeting with South Carolina will be the second ever between the two programs. The teams met last year in Columbus and drew 1-1. Ella Giannola had the tally for the Buckeyes in the 71st minute. Â
- The Buckeyes are 11-13-4 all-time against teams currently in the SEC.Â
- Ohio State has 43 wins over Top 25 ranked teams.Â
- Sunday's match between the Buckeyes and Seahawks will be the first meeting between the two programs.Â
- Ohio State enters the weekend 0-0-1 on the season, led offensively by midfielder Amanda Schlueter and anchored defensively by goalkeeper Molly Pritchard. Schlueter scored in the 82nd minute vs. Clemson to draw the Buckeyes even at 1-1 in the season opener. Pritchard made a pair of saves in the match. Â
- Schlueter and fellow junior Ava Bramblett have been named to the MAC Herman Trophy Watch List to start the year. Â
- South Carolina opened the year ranked inside the Top 20 and currently sit at 2-0 following wins over Charleston and USF last week.Â
- The Gamecocks return firepower in sophomore forward Katie Shea Collins, who earned Second Team All-SEC honors in 2024 after scoring 13 goals. Â
- UNCW enters the weekend 1-1 and will face Coastal Carolina before meeting the Buckeyes on Sunday.Â
