COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s soccer opens the 2025 season Thursday evening by hosting the Clemson Tigers at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and the match will be streamed live on B1G+.
Admission and parking are free for all Ohio State women’s soccer matches.
- Ohio State is in its 33rd season and its 29th under the direction of head coach Lori Walker Hock.
- This marks the first-ever meeting between Ohio State and Clemson.
- Ohio State is 23-25-1 all-time against current ACC teams
- The Buckeyes were predicted to finish fifth in the Big Ten preseason poll which was voted on by the conference's 18 head coaches
- Ohio State is ranked No. 18 in the preseason poll.
- Junior forward Amanda Schlueter, junior defender Ava Bramblett, and senior goalkeeper Molly Pritchard were named Big Ten Players to Watch.
- Schlueter was also named a Midfielder to Watch by the United Soccer Coaches on the NCAA Division I Women’s Players to Watch list after a sophomore season with 12 assists (tied program record) and 10 goals. She enters 2025 with 16 goals and 19 assists, needing one more assist to break into OSU’s top five all-time.
- Bramblett, a Defender to Watch, has appeared in 41 matches with 39 starts, tallying three goals in each of her first two seasons.
- Pritchard, one of the Big Ten’s top goalkeepers, has appeared in all but one match over the last three years and played a role in all 21 shutouts during that time. She posted a career-best 0.87 goals-against average in 2024 with 91 saves. She is coming off a year in which she posted a career-best 0.87 goals-against average and made 91 saves.
