
Buckeye Take the 36-Hole Lead at the NGI

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State carded a round of 8-under 280 on Saturday at the National Golf Invitational and takes the 36-hole lead into Sunday’s final round.
Redshirt-sophomore Joe Wilson IV carded a 5-under 67 to lead the Buckeyes on Saturday. He made six birdies, including four-consecutive as part of his back nine 32. He is 7-under for the tournament and tied for fourth, just two-shots off the lead.
Timotej Formanek is two shots behind Wilson as he carded a 2-under 69 on Saturday and is 5-under par for the event. Tyler Sabo followed his opening round 68 with an even-par 72 and is tied for seventh at 4-under par.
Freshman Vaugh Harber also came home with a 72 on Saturday and is tied for 12th at 2-under par. Jack Vojtko had a 73 and is 3-over par for the tournament.
The Buckeyes are seeking their third win of the year as they lead Utah State by one shot heading into Sunday’s final round. The teams will tee off at 12:40 p.m. ET.
