
Clark, Finlin Make Open Water National Teams

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State swimmers Charlie Clark and Emma Finlin have qualified for their respective countries' open water national teams after strong performances at the USA Swimming Open Water National Championships over the weekend.
In the 10K, Clark placed sixth overall with a time of 1:54:04. He was the fourth-place American, which earned him a spot on the U.S. National Team for open water. He also earned a spot on the U.S. team for the World Aquatics Championships this summer in Singapore.
Clark is a current member of the U.S. National Team, representing his country in the 800 free and the 1500 free. It was his fourth straight year being selected to the U.S. National Team. This is the first time in his career he will represent the United States in open water competition.
Emma Finlin lands on Canada's open water team for this summer's World Aquatics Championships in Singapore. She was the second-place Canadian and ninth overall finisher with a time of 2:06:04 in the 10K.
Finlin has competed in open water for Canada multiple times, including at the 2024 Paris Olympics. It was her first career Olympics appearance, and she finished 23rd in the 10K open water swim in the Seine with a time of 2:22:06.5.
