Sabo Finishes Top 10, Buckeyes Finish 5th at Big Ten Championship

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State’s Tyler Sabo carded a final round 72 and finished in seventh place at the Big Ten Championship at Baltimore Country Club.
Sunday was a tough day for scoring as the scoring average was nearly four shots higher than the previous two days. The Buckeyes shot a 296 in the final round and finished in fifth place for the second consecutive year.
Sabo made four birdies in his final round of 72, which followed a pair of 69s over the first two days. He was even-par for the event and matched Neal Shipley’s seventh place finish from last year.
Joe Wilson IV, who was also playing in his first Big Ten Championship, played his final nine on Sunday in 1-under par to finish with a 72. He was 4-over for the tournament and tied for 19th.
Freshman Vaughn Harber finished with a final round 74 and tied for 23rd at 6-over par. Fellow freshman Timotej Formanek opened with rounds of 69-70 and carded a 78 on Sunday to finish a shot behind Harber at 7-over par.
Jack Vojtko rounded out the Buckeyes on Sunday with an 80.
