COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State tied for the lowest round of the day with a 279 to jump up three spots into fifth place through 36 holes of the Big Ten Championship at the Baltimore Country Club.
Tyler Sabo shot a second-consecutive round of 1-under 69 on Saturday and is tied for ninth at 2-under par. He got off to a hot start with five birdies through the first 12 holes. The wind picked up later in the round and lightning in the area ultimately forced a slight delay. That made scoring a bit difficult at the close of the day.
Timotej Formanek is also under-par through two rounds as he shot an even-par 70 on Saturday after a 69 on Friday. He’ll start Sunday’s final round in a tie for 15th.
Freshman Vaughn Harber rebounded from a 73 on Friday with a 1-under 69 on Saturday. He opened his round Saturday with a birdie and would make three on the day. He is tied for 24th at 2-over par.
Joe Wilson IV is tied for Harber at 2-over through 36 holes as he matched his opening round 71 with another on Saturday.
Jack Vojtko made a pair of birdies in his round of 71 in the second round and is 4-over par for the tournament.
