
Three Buckeyes Under-Par on Final Day of Valspar Collegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Three Buckeyes posted under-par rounds as Ohio State carded a final round 280 at the Valspar Intercollegiate Invitational at the Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City, Fla., on Tuesday.
Sophomore Jack Vojtko led the way with a 3-under 68. He made a total of five birdies in his final round and led the team with 13 birdies on the week. He was one of three Buckeyes to finish in a tie for 63rd at 5-over par.
Joe Wilson IV opened the tournament with a 79 on Monday morning but with rebound with back-to-back under-par rounds. He followed his 69 on Monday afternoon with a 1-under 70 on Tuesday to match Vojtko at 5-over for the event. Wilson IV has carded a round at par or better in four of his last five rounds.
Timotej Formanek carded a pair of 77s on Monday but would finish with a strong round of 2-under 69 in the final round on Tuesday.
Tyler Sabo was the third Buckeye to finish at 5-over par for the tournament. He had a solid 3-under 68 in the second round on Monday and finished up with a 76 on Tuesday.
Vaughn Harber opened his final round with a birdie at the par-3 17th and would go on to shoot a 2-over 73 and finish tied for 69th at 7-over par.
Ohio State will finish the regular season by hosting a pair of events. The first event will be the Buckeye Classic on April 11-12 at Columbus Country Club. The second will be the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate at the OSU Golf Club on April 18-19.
