Sabo Leads the Way After Day 1 of Valspar Collegiate

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State redshirt-sophomore Tyler Sabo carded a second round of 3-under 68 and is even par through two rounds of the Valspar Intercollegiate Invitational at the Floridian Golf Club in Palm City, Fla.
Sabo opened with a round of 3-over 74 in the morning and then made back-to-back birdies to open his afternoon round and get him off to a good start. He also birdied his final hole of the day to finish with a 68, his eighth round of the year at par or better.
Freshman Vaughn Harber opened his day with 13 consecutive pars before his first bogey. He would then birdie his final hole of the opening round to finish with an opening round 71. He then posted a 76 in the afternoon round is and 5-over through 36 holes.
Joe Wilson IV had the opposite type of day. He started with a 79 in the morning round but then made five birdies in the second round to post a 2-under 69. He is a shot behind Harber at 6-over par.
Jack Vojtko carded rounds of 73 and 77 and it 8-over par while Timotej Formanek posted rounds of 77-76 and is 11-over par.
The final round is scheduled to begin with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
