Buckeyes Place 14th at NCAA Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 11 Ohio State women's swimming and diving team placed 14th at the NCAA Championships, which concluded on Saturday evening in Federal Way, Wash.
Ohio State turned in four All-American performances on the final night of competition and finished with 66 total points. Nine Buckeyes earned All-American honors over the course of the week, with six Buckeyes earning All-American recognition in more than one event. This is the fifth consecutive season that the Buckeyes have placed in the top 15 at the NCAA Championships.
Freshman Mila Nikanorov earned First Team All-American honors in the 1650 free after placing sixth with a time of 15:51.95. Gwen Woodbury finished 17th, touching at 15:57.66. Emma Finlin (16:11.23) and Mia Rankin (16:12.87) placed 28th and 29th, respectively.
Krista Marlin placed sixth in the consolation final of the 200 back, turning in a time of 1:51.49 to earn Honorable Mention All-American status. Marlin improved upon her time of 1:51.73 from prelims.
In the 200 breast consolation final, Ava DeAngelis finished fifth with a time of 2:07.91 to earn Honorable Mention All-American recognition.
The NCAA Championships concluded with the 400 free relay. The team of Erin Little, Teresa Ivan, Rachel Bockrath and Sienna Angove finished in 3:11.77 to place 12th and earn Honorable Mention All-American honors.
