
Buckeye’s Card Lowest Round on Final Day of Linger Longer Inv.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State finished the Linger Longer Invitational on Tuesday with its lowest round of the week, a 1-over 289, and finished in 11th place.
Individually, sophomore Tyler Sabo capped a consistent week with a final round 72. It was his second even-par round of the event as he shot 72-73-72 and finished in a tie for 32nd at 1-over par.
Sabo’s round was one of three even-par rounds on the day for the Buckeyes. Joe Wilson IV also carded a 72 on Tuesday and finished just a shot back of Sabo at 2-over par. Jack Vojtko rebounded from a tough second round with a 72 on Tuesday and finished at 11-over par.
Timotej Formanek tied Wilson IV with a team-high five birdies in his round of 1-over 73. He finished in a tie for 60th at 10-over par. Topher Reed rounded out the Buckeye scoring five with a 75 on Tuesday.
Among the three individuals, freshman Vaughn Harber led the way with rounds of 70-80-76 to tie Formanek at 10-over. Drew Mulcahy had rounds of 76 on both Monday and Tuesday and was 17-over while Tyler Groomes carded his lowest round of the week, a 2-over 74, in the final round.
The Buckeyes will return home for a few days before heading back south to Palm City, Fla., for the Valspar Intercollegiate Invitational at the Floridian Golf Club.
