COLUMBUS, Ohio – On a tough day for scoring, Ohio State junior Joe Wilson IV carded a 1-under 71 to pace the Buckeyes on day two of the Linger Longer Invitational at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Ga.
Wilson IV’s round was one of just six under-par rounds on the day, which saw a scoring average of 77.15. He also recorded a hole-in-one at the par three third hole and also added three more birdies. That round jumped Wilson IV up 36 spots into a tie for 27th.
Tyler Sabo followed his opening round 72 with a 1-over 73 and leads the team through two rounds at 1-over par and tied for 24th.
Timotej Formanak carded an 80 on Tuesday while Jack Vojtko had an 84 and Topher Reed posted an 85.
On the individual side, Drew Mulcahy made three birdies in his round of 76 while Vaughn Harber posted an 80 and Tyler Groomes had an 86.
As a team, the Buckeyes are tied for 10th place at 22-over par with host Kennesaw State. Ohio State will start the final round off the 10th tee at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
