
Two Buckeyes Under-Par on Day 1 of Linger Longer Invitational

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Freshman Vaughn Harber and sophomore Jack Vojtko both carded under-par rounds to lead eight Buckeyes on the opening day of the Linger Longer Invitational in Greensboro, Ga.
As a team, the Buckeyes carded a 2-over 300 on Sunday and are in ninth place headed into the second round.
Harber, who is one of three Buckeye individuals competing this week, four birdies and an eagle on his final hole to card a 2-under 70. That was his fourth round at par or better this season. He is tied for 15th through one round. Vojtko also made four birdies in his round of 1-under 71 and is tied for 24th.
Tyler Sabo made a team-high five birdies on Sunday and finished with an even-par 72. Timotej Formanek followed his best tournament of the year at Colleton River with an opening round 73. Topher Reed got off to a hot start with birdies in two of his first three holes and would finish with a 74. Joe Wilson IV was the final member of the scoring five and he posted a 75.
Tyler Groomes and Drew Mulcahy are also playing as individuals this week and shot rounds of 79 and 81, respectively.
The second round will start with an 11:30 a.m. shotgun start and the Buckeyes are paired with Kennesaw State, Alabama and Elon.
