COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women's hockey team completed the season sweep of St. Thomas with a 5-1 win Saturday at the OSU Ice Rink.

The Buckeyes (23-6-3, 17-6-3 WCHA) put five goals on the Tommies (8-20-2, 5-18-1) for the second game in a row but allowed just one goal on the day after taking game one 5-4 in overtime.

Short Story
Jocelyn Amos scored first for the Buckeyes in both games of the series, this time sending a rebounded puck past St. Thomas goaltender Maggie Malecha to put the Buckeyes in the lead on the power play at 8:32. The team took a 1-0 advantage into the first intermission after holding the Tommies to just one shot on goal in the opening frame.

A combined five goals were scored in the second period with Makenna Webster tallying the first of the frame at 1:06 to double the Buckeyes' lead. A St. Thomas goal at 8:48 cut the Ohio State advantage to one goal, but the Buckeyes went on to add goals from Kiara Zanon (10:48), Joy Dunne (11:37) and Jenna Buglioni (14:17) in a four-minute span to take the 5-1 lead entering the final frame.

Neither team lit the lamp in the third period as Ohio State held the Tommies to only three shots on goal for the second straight period. Â

In goal for the Buckeyes, junior Hailey MacLeod made six saves in the win.

Game Notes
- Six players recorded multi-point games for the Buckeyes while Dunne and Zanon tallied a goal and two assists each for a team-high three points on the day. Zanon is now the fourth Buckeye to reach 30 points this season, joining Dunne (43), Amos (40) and Buglioni (37), with 32 points in 32 games played.
- Amos' power play goal was her fourth goal in the last three games for the Buckeyes. She led the team with three goals on the weekend and now has eight power play goals on the season.
- Ohio State allowed just seven shots on goal the entire game, a season-best mark in the category.
