COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 8/8 Ohio State women's basketball team (23-4, 12-4 B1G) beat Purdue (9-18, 2-14 B1G) by a 98-46 margin on senior day on Sunday afternoon – the Buckeyes' largest home Big Ten win in program history.

Ohio State got off to a quick start, scoring the first 13 points of the game and building a 24-8 lead after one quarter. The Buckeyes led by a 55-26 margin at halftime following a 31-18 second quarter. OSU's lead was 77-35 after 30 minutes and wrapped up the game with a 21-11 fourth quarter.

Cotie McMahon reached double figures in less than nine minutes and totaled 16 points. Jaloni Cambridge joined McMahon in double figures with 15 points in the first half and 20 points in the game. Chance Gray (21), Kennedy Cambridge (10) and Ajae Petty (12) also scored in double figures. All nine Buckeyes made at least one basket and six different Buckeyes made a three-pointer in the game. Petty added a game-high 14 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season.

How it Happened
Ajae Petty opened scoring with a second chance layup. The Buckeyes scored the first 13 points of the game, holding the Boilermakers scoreless for the first four and a half minutes of the game. Ohio State put together a 7-0 run to extend the lead to 20-5 with three minutes remaining in the opening frame. The Buckeyes led by a 24-8 margin after 10 minutes.

Purdue scored first in the second quarter before OSU strung together an 8-0 run to increase its lead to 32-10 and force a Boilermaker timeout. J. Cambridge scored 12 consecutive Buckeye points, including eight in the midst of a 12-0 OSU run that stretched the lead to 53-19 with three minutes remaining in the half. The Buckeyes went into the locker room with a 55-26 lead.

Petty scored first in the third quarter and the teams alternated scoring to begin the quarter before Gray scored eight unanswered points on the floor to extend the Buckeyes' lead to 68-29 with 7:32 to play in the third. Ohio State held the 70-29 advantage at the media timeout. The Buckeyes outscored the Boilermakers by a 22-9 mark in the quarter to take a 77-35 lead into the final quarter.

Ohio State opened the fourth quarter with a 12-0 run to extend the lead to 89-35 with 5:38 remaining in the game. The Buckeyes outscored the Boilermakers by a 21-11 margin in the fourth quarter to win by a 98-46 margin.

All nine Buckeyes who played made at least one basket and six different Buckeyes made a three-pointer, including Elsa Lemmilä's first collegiate three-pointer. This is Ohio State's 14^th game this season with four or more double-figure scorers as the Buckeyes had five with at least 10 points today.

This is the largest home Big Ten win in program history and the first 50-point conference win since Jan. 8, 2015 at Indiana (103-49).
The Buckeyes extended their streak of consecutive games with 10 or more steals to 11 games in a row. The streak started at Wisconsin on Jan. 16. Ohio State has 350 steals this season, which ranks fifth in program history among single-season records.
Ohio State's defense has forced at least 20 turnovers in 20 games this season as Purdue turned the ball over 21 times today.
Ajae Petty surpassed 700 career rebounds today with 14 rebounds in the game. She added 12 points for her fifth double-double of the season and the 27^th of her career, surpassing 900 career points. Her 14 rebounds are tied for the most by a Buckeye this season.
Cotie McMahon was the first in the game to double figures, doing so in less than nine minutes of play and for the 21^st time this season. McMahon finished with 16 points.
Jaloni Cambridge scored in double figures for the 18^th time this season. She had 15 first-half points and finished with 20 points on the day. This is her eighth 20-point game of the season.
Chance Gray also recorded her 18^th double-figure performance of the season with 21 points. She was 5-of-12 from behind the arc, her 10^th game this season with three or more triples. This is her sixth 20-point game of the season.
Kennedy Cambridge scored 10 or more points for the fourth time this season, finishing with 10 points. She added a career-high six assists.
Lemmilä has recorded a block in 22 games this season and leads the team with 52 blocks.
