Wetzel Earns MIVA Offensive POW

Junior opposite hit .458 last week
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Junior Shane Wetzel, a junior opposite hitter from Lake Mary, Florida, was named the Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Buckeyes to a pair of conference wins.
No. 15 Ohio State (5-6, 2-1) earned league wins at Purdue Fort Wayne (3-0) and at home over Lindenwood (3-1) with Wetzel leading the way.
Overall, Wetzel led the Buckeyes with 28 kills while hitting .458. He also led the team in digs (11) and aces (6).
Ohio State is back in action this week with a pair of MIVA road contests at McKendree Thursday (8 p.m.) and at Lindenwood Saturday (2 p.m.).
