COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State capped the week at the Puerto Rico Classic with its lowest round of the tournament, a 6-under 282, to finish in 14th place.
Three Buckeyes posted under-par rounds on Wednesday, led by freshman Vaughn Harber’s 3-under 69. He made four birdies and just one bogey in carding the second round of the 60s of his young career. Harber finished in a tie for 50th at even par.
Joe Wilson IV posted a final round of even par 72 to match Harber at even par of the tournament. He opened the tournament with a career-best 67 on Monday.
Freshman Timotej Formanek carded a 2-under 70 on Wednesday to finish a solid week at 3-over par. The 70 matched his final round at The Tindall back in the fall as his lowest round of the season.
Sophomore Jack Vojtko was the third Buckeye under par on Wednesday as he finished a tough week with a 1-under 71. Fellow sophomore Tyler Sabo carded a final round 75 and finished at 10-over par.
The Buckeyes will have a little over two weeks off before returning to action at the Colleton River Collegiate on March 2 and 3 in Bluffton, S.C. Ohio State has played at the event in recent years, including getting an individual title from Adam Wallin in 2022.
