
Ohio State Hosts Coppin State in Sunday’s Season Opener

The band will perform Script Ohio on the court at halftime in addition to free T-shirts for the first 1,000 fans and a postgame meet & greet.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's basketball season hosts Coppin State (1-1) in the Buckeyes' 2025-26 season opener in the Schottenstein Center. Tip-off on B1G+ is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Parking for all home women's basketball games is free in the Gray and Buckeye lots. All Ohio State students receive free admission with their BuckID.
Be sure to arrive early as the first 1,000 fans will receive a free T-shirt, available on the concourse near the northwest and northeast rotundas. Script Ohio will be performed live on the court at halftime. Stick around after the game for a meet & greet with the Buckeyes behind section 131.

- Sophomore guard Jaloni Cambridge was named to the Naismith Trophy Preseason Watch List and Preseason All-Big Ten Team.
- The Buckeyes welcome transfers T'yanna Todd (senior, Boston College) and Kylee Kitts (redshirt freshman, Florida) to Columbus for the 2025-26 season. Ohio State has five players who will be making their collegiate debut this season - Dasha Biriuk and Bryn Martin are true freshmen and Seini Henry, Ella Hobbs and Kitts are redshirt freshmen.
- Coppin State is 1-1 to start the 2025-26 season under new head coach Darrell Mosley after opening with games at Arizona State (67-53 loss) and against Lincoln (Pa.) (80-47 win).
- The Eagles were picked to finish sixth in the MEAC preseason poll. Coppin State's roster features 14 newcomers. The lone returner is sophomore Mickelle Lowry, a guard who averaged 2.6 points in 9.6 minutes per game last season.
- Through the first two games of 2025, Khila Morris leads the Eagles with 13.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game.
- In 2024-25, the Eagles finished with a 19-15 overall record and were 8-6 in MEAC games. Coppin State made an appearance in the conference championship game and the second round of the WNIT.
- This is the first meeting in history between Ohio State and Coppin State.
