COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (6-21, 3-16 B1G) fell in four sets (17-25, 25-22, 16-25, 21-25) to Iowa (15-16, 6-13 B1G) on Friday evening in Coralville.

Iowa used an early run in the first set to create the separation needed for a 25-17 set win. Ohio State ended the second set on a 13-4 run to win by a 25-22 margin and even the match. The Hawkeyes regained match advantage with a late run in the third set, winning by a 25-16 mark. Iowa used a late run to propel itself to a 25-21 win in the fourth set to wrap up the match.

- S1: Ohio State struck first and the set was tied at every point until a 6-1 Iowa run gave the Hawkeyes an 11-6 advantage. Iowa led by a 15-9 margin at the media timeout. The Buckeyes got within four at 16-12 and 19-15 but the Hawkeyes strung together four unanswered points on their way to a 25-17 set win.
- S2: The Buckeyes again scored first and found the set tied at five before the Hawkeyes put together a run. Iowa led by as many as four at 12-8, but Ohio State battled back to tie the set at 14 on a kill from Hannah Jones. Iowa responded with the next four points to lead 18-14 and Ohio State used a 5-0 run to take a 24-21 lead. The Buckeyes won the set by a 25-22 margin on a kill from Kaia Castle.
- S3: Iowa opened scoring in the third set and jumped out to an early 5-2 lead. The Hawkeyes extended their lead to as many as six points at 14-8, but the Buckeyes cut their deficit to 16-15 after back-to-back aces from Abby Yoder. Iowa scored nine of the final 10 points of the set to claim a 25-16 set win.
- S4: The Hawkeyes scored the first three points and led 6-1. Na'Vea Gauthier's seventh kill of the match got the Buckeyes within three at 8-5. Iowa increased its lead to as many as five points, but Ohio State trimmed its deficit to 16-15 on a kill from Ashley Carr. The Hawkeyes scored the next two points and finished the match with a 4-1 run to capture a 25-21 win in the set.
- Six different Buckeyes finished the match with six or more kills apiece.
- Hannah Jones recorded 10 or more kills for the 15th time this season. She was the first Buckeye to reach 10 kills and tied the match-high 16 kills.
- Mia Tuman earned her 11th double-double of the season with 43 assists and a match-high 15 digs.
- Olivia Hasbrook recorded double figure digs for the 17th time this season, finishing with 10 digs tonight.
- Na'Vea Gauthier totaled at least 10 kills for the sixth time this season, capping the match with 10 kills.
- S1: Carr, Sydney Wyman and Gauthier each had three kills in the set as five different Buckeyes recorded a kill.
- S2: Ohio State used a late 5-0 run to take a 24-21 lead and also ended the set on an extended 13-4 run.
