Ohio State Falls to No. 1 Nebraska in Season Finale

The Buckeyes battled the undefeated Huskers in Lincoln on Saturday night.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (6-22, 3-17 B1G) fell in three sets (16-25, 13-25, 20-25) to No. 1 Nebraska (30-0, 20-0 B1G) on Saturday night in Lincoln in the Buckeyes' season finale.
Nebraska used an early 6-0 run to create separation in the first set, winning by a 25-16 margin. The Huskers again put together an early run and extended their match advantage with a 25-13 win in the second set. The third set was close throughout, but the Huskers scored five of the final six points to win the set by a 25-20 mark.

- S1: Ohio State scored first to begin the match, but Nebraska used an early 6-0 run to take a 7-2 lead and increased the lead to 15-9 heading into the media timeout. The Buckeye defense didn't allow the Huskers to score more than two unanswered points during the remainder of the set. Nebraska earned a 25-16 set win.
- S2: The Buckeyes opened scoring in the second set, but the Huskers used runs of 6-0 and 5-0 to build a 13-3 lead. Ohio State scored four unanswered points in response – its longest run of the match thus far. The Buckeyes strung together a 3-0 run to cut their deficit to 18-12, but the Huskers scored six of the final seven points in the set to win by a 25-13 margin.
- S3: Nebraska scored a pair of points to begin the set before the teams traded points. Ohio State used back-to-back points to tie the set at eight after an ace from Olivia Hasbrook. The Huskers led by a 15-12 margin at the media timeout. The Buckeyes battled back to get within one at 20-19 on a kill from Na'Vea Gauthier. Nebraska wrapped up the match with a 25-20 set win.
- This is Ohio State's ninth match of the season against a ranked opponent.
- The Buckeyes had six players record a kill and three players have seven or more kills apiece.
- Hannah Jones was the first in the match to reach 10 kills and finished with 10 kills tonight. This is the 16th match of the season that she's had at least 10 kills.
