COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State women's hockey team heads to the nation's capital for neutral site top 15 matchups against No. 10 Clarkson and No. 12 Colgate this weekend in the D1 in D.C. Tournament. The Buckeyes (13-1-0, 11-1-0 WCHA) face off against the Golden Knights (9-5-1, 5-2-1 ECAC) at 4 p.m. Friday and against the Raiders (8-7-1, 4-3-1 ECAC) at 5 p.m. Saturday from MedStar Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Va.
The games will be streamed on the JWHL YouTube channel and live stats can be found on OhioStateBuckeyes.com.
Buckeyes in a Nutshell
Ohio State closes the calendar year with the national title game rematch against No. 1 Wisconsin. The Buckeyes host the Badgers Dec. 5-6 at the OSU Ice Rink. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday. The games will be streamed on B1G+ (subscription required).

Buckeyes in a Nutshell
- The upcoming games mark the second consecutive week on the road for the Buckeyes and the final road trip of the calendar year. Ohio State is 7-1-0 on the road in 2025-26. This weekend's games are the team's first neutral site games of the season.
- The Buckeyes are 2-0-0 in non-conference contests this season. Ohio State opened the season with an out-of-conference series at Colgate.
- Ohio State returns to second in the national polls this week. The Buckeyes received 283 points and four first-place votes in the USCHO poll and 272 points and five first-place votes in the USA Hockey poll.
- Hilda Svensson leads the team with 25 points on the year. Joy Dunne is second with 24. Dunne leads the team with 16 goals while Svensson has recorded a team-high 16 assists. Svensson paces rookies nationally in total points and goals (9). Dunne is third in the country in goals and first with 1.30 goals per game.
- The last time Ohio State played in the D1 in D.C. Tournament was the 2021-22 season. The Buckeyes defeated St. Lawrence, 5-2, and Penn State, 4-2, in their quest for their first national title in program history. No. 14 St. Cloud State rounds out the field of this year's tournament.
- Ohio State is top five nationally in scoring margin (2.93), scoring offense (4.86) and faceoff win percentage (.619). The team is holding opponents to under two goals per game (1.93).
- The third season of the PWHL opened last weekend, with 22 Buckeyes rostered for the season. Buckeyes were part of a number of highlights from opening weekend, including rookie Maddi Wheeler ('25) setting the league record for points in a PWHL debut with three assists in New York's season-opening win.
- Ohio State improved to 9-1-0 against ranked opponents this season with a top five sweep against Minnesota Duluth last weekend in Duluth.
- The Buckeyes took game one, 3-1, behind a two-goal game from Joy Dunne and a 24-save performance from goaltender Hailey MacLeod.
- In game two, Genny Klein made her first career start, earning a win with a career-high 31 saves. Four different players scored as Dunne led the team with three points in the game.
- Ohio State and Clarkson meet for just the third time on Friday.
- The meeting is the first between the teams during the regular season. The previous two meetings were played in the NCAA Tournament.
- The last time the team met was during Ohio State's 2024 national title run. The Buckeyes defeated the Golden Knights, 4-1, in the Frozen Four semifinals.
- Clarkson won the first matchup between the teams in 2018, a 1-0 win over the Buckeyes in the Frozen Four.
- The Buckeyes and Raiders will meet for the third time this season on Saturday.
- Ohio State leads the all-time series against Colgate, 6-2-2.
- The teams opened the 2025-26 campaign in Hamilton, N.Y., with Ohio State winning both games.
- The Buckeyes took game one, 5-3, and added a 9-4 win in game two. The nine goals scored are the most for the Buckeyes in a game this season.
