No. 3 Buckeyes Sweep No. 5 Bulldogs with 4-1 Saturday Win

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 3 Ohio State women's hockey earned its fourth straight conference sweep with a 4-1 win over No. 5 Minnesota Duluth Saturday evening at AMSOIL Arena in Duluth, Minn.
The Short Story
The Buckeyes (13-1-0, 11-1-0) scored twice in the first and second periods and held the Bulldogs (10-6, 6-6 WCHA) to just one goal for the second time on the weekend for the win. Ohio State was led in points by Joy Dunne with three points on the day.
In goal for Ohio State, Genny Klein made a career-high 31 saves in her first career start for her first career win.

How it Happened
- Ohio State scored first with Brooke Disher recording her second goal of the season at 2:56 in the first period off an assist from Joy Dunne.
- The Buckeyes added onto the lead with a goal from Sanni Vanhanen at 14:57 for the 2-0 advantage at the first intermission. Vanhanen's goal was assisted by Jenna Raunio and Dunne.
- Ohio State scored twice in a minute during the second period with goals from Dunne and Jordyn Petrie at 12:31 and 13:14, respectively. Raunio, Jocelyn Amos and Sloane Matthews added assists on the Buckeye goals in the middle frame.
- The Bulldogs stopped Ohio State's scoring run with a goal at 14:49 in the middle frame.
- Ohio State earned six conference points on the weekend and is now first in the league with 32 on the year.
- Dunne had a hand in three of the Buckeyes' four goals of the game, assisting the first two and scoring the third. She finished the series with a team-high five points against the Bulldogs.
- Raunio also assisted two goals on the day to tie her career high.
- The Buckeye penalty kill was a perfect 5-for-5 in Saturday's contest, finishing the weekend 8-for-8.
