
Ohio State Wraps Up Home Schedule with Northwestern and Michigan State

The Buckeyes host the Wildcats on Friday at 6 p.m. ET and the Spartans on Sunday at noon.
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women's volleyball team (5-19, 2-14 B1G) hosts Northwestern (15-13, 5-11 B1G) and Michigan State (18-8, 8-8 B1G) this weekend in the final homestand of the season. The Buckeyes will face the Wildcats on Friday at 6 p.m. and the Spartans on Sunday at 12 p.m. with both matches being broadcast live on B1G+.

Parking is free for all home matches in the Buckeye lots across the street. All Ohio State students get in free with their BuckID.

Friday is the Our Honor Defend Military Appreciation match. Sunday is senior day as the Buckeyes will honor their seniors after the match.

BUCKEYE PREVIEW
- Ohio State enters the week at 5-19 overall and 2-14 in the Big Ten after falling in two road matches last weekend - at RV Michigan (17-25, 23-25, 18-25) and No. 24 Penn State (22-25, 25-15, 31-29, 14-25, 12-15).
- Olivia Hasbrook led the team with 14 digs in each match.
- At Penn State, Mia Tuman (47a, 13d) and Hannah Jones (23k, tied career-high 10d) each had a double-double and Kaitlyn Hoffman had a season-high 12 digs.
- Northwestern holds a 15-13 overall record and a 5-11 mark in conference play.
- The Wildcats own Big Ten wins against Oregon, Rutgers, Michigan, Iowa and Maryland and have lost to Indiana (twice), Michigan State, No. 10 Minnesota, No. 19 Penn State, Illinois, No. 1 Nebraska, No. 17 USC, UCLA, Iowa and Washington.
- Rylen Reid leads the Northwestern offense with 3.34 kills/set, while Kayla Kauffman leads the defense with 1.10 blocks/set.
- Ohio State leads 61-19 in the all-time series against Northwestern and holds the 30-6 advantage in Columbus.
- Last season, the Buckeyes won in straight sets (25-23, 25-16, 26-24) on the road on Oct. 10. Hasbrook led the way among this season's returners with 12 digs.
- Michigan State enters the weekend with an 18-8 overall record and is 8-8 in conference play. The Spartans are scheduled to face No. 24 Penn State on Friday.
- The Spartans own Big Ten wins against RV Michigan, Northwestern, Iowa, No. 20 Indiana, Maryland, Rutgers, Washington and Oregon and have lost to No. 12 Minnesota, RV Illinois, No. 1 Nebraska (twice), Iowa, No. 10 Purdue, No. 11 Wisconsin and RV Michigan.
- Taylah Holdem (3.13) and Karolina Staniszewska (3.08) lead Michigan State's offense in kills/set, while four players are averaging more than 2.00 digs/set.
- Ohio State leads 54-32 in the all-time series against Michigan State and is 29-8 against the Spartans in Columbus.
- Last season, Ohio State won in four sets (23-25, 26-24, 25-22, 25-18) on the road on Nov. 3. Hasbrook had 17 digs and Tuman had a double-double (44a, 13d).
